Here is the video of my NECC presentation on July 1:

Too bad Mystery Science Theater 2000 3000 is no longer available to add commentary.

I just finished watching this presentation, and I think that what you are saying is right on the money. I especially like your belief that we should teach kids (and teachers) to be thinkers and think for themselves.

I am the Media Technology and Distance Learning Team Lead in Canyons School District, in Sandy, UT. This is our first year as a district, and we are grappling with many of these issues. We want students to learn, and we want them to learn to think for themselves. My team has been tasked with contributing to the creation of policies that will affect all 33,000 students. We have a unique opportunity to help others make correct moral choices, and adding that perspective is perhaps the best idea I have heard regarding copyright.

Thank you so much.

Hi Jethro,

Thanks for the kind words - and the Tweets on this. I HATE watching myself but it is good to know others find value.
