Yesterday's libraries, tomorrow's libraries - video

It's not the world's most polished video, but I learned a lot about Prezi, Jing and iMovie (and who my friends are) in making this version of an eariler post.

The actual Prezi presentation can be found here: http://prezi.com/hjejcggu7s8b/

Awesome video! How do I email it to my administration and get the code to paste in to my blog (with full accreditation to you!)

Hi Sheila,

Here is the code to embed the video:

<object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/7K-4ZF0x5ic&hl=en_US&fs=1&rel=0"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param></object>

Good luck!

Doug

Doug,

Have you thought about also sharing the URL for the Prezi? And/or creating a "poster" of the rocket ship image that appears around 3:25 in this video? I can see using this video as part of our orientation to the library next Fall, linking to it from our web page and offering another reprise of key points with the "rocket ship" image on a more static Bulletin Board.

Thank you for your hard work on this! Linda

Hi Linda,

Here is the link to the Prezi itself: http://prezi.com/hjejcggu7s8b/

Use the video, Prezi or images from it as you can.

All the best,

Doug

When trying to view your video, I receive an error message: Broken Upload. Can I see the video at another site? Thanks,

Hi Kathy,

You can try watching it at YouTube itself:

Hi Doug,
I also enjoyed and appreciated the video. My beef, however, is about the assumption is that no one was doing any of the "tomorrow" stuff in the past.

Hi Pat,

You are absolutely right - we have had progressive librarians showing us the way for many years! I appreciate the reminder.

All the best,

Doug

Great music to go with a message about keeping libraries modern and still serving the community needs.
