Pigeon takes the test

Sort of sad to see this popular children's book character used to promote the high stakes Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment test.

What's next - Santa Claus saying you'll be on the naughty list if you don't do well?

Do "good"?!

Besides the grammar of the poster's creator, I hope all students get encouragement to do their best (be it good or not).

Hi Bob,

Just a little distressing to me personally that some children will forever associate a beloved children's book character with testing pressure. I suppose there worse things that could happen - like the school not making AYP and embarrassing the adults in it.

Curious where you found this.

On the wall near a computer lab in one of our elementary schools. The Mo Willems's Pigeon is a regular object of practice for kids learning drawing programs here.
